Founder and Executive Director
Keiyonna Dubashi is the Founder and Executive Director of Profound Ladies. With a background as a National Board Certified Teacher, Keiyonna transitioned to the nonprofit sector, focusing on recruiting and retaining BIPOC women educators. She is deeply committed to education equity and anti-racist practices. Keiyonna also serves as a DEI consultant and is an accomplished children’s author. Her work is driven by a passion for creating inclusive and supportive environments for educators and students alike.
Chief of Staff
Asya Toney, Chief of Staff at Profound Ladies, has a rich background in advocating for educational equity. She previously served as a K-12 educator and has been actively involved with Teach for America. Asya’s leadership focuses on fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in education, ensuring that BIPOC educators thrive in their roles. Her commitment to public service is further reflected in her diverse skill set, including certification as a Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt and experience as a firefighter.

Impact Leader
Leaundra Clay is an accomplished educator and leader with a rich background in fostering teacher leadership and developing effective educational strategies. With over eight years of experience in various roles within the education sector, Leaundra has dedicated her career to enhancing the educational experience for both students and educators. Leaundra began her journey in education as a social studies teacher, where she taught 6th and 7th grades for three years. Her passion for teaching and commitment to student success propelled her into leadership roles, first as an Assistant Principal for two years. In this position, she worked tirelessly to support both students and faculty, creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment. Following her tenure as an Assistant Principal, Leaundra took on the role of Director of Teacher Leadership Development for two years. In this capacity, she focused on empowering educators through professional development, mentoring, and collaboration, ensuring that teachers had the resources and support necessary to excel in their roles. Currently, Leaundra leads the Wake County Cohort, where she continues her mission to uplift BIPOC educators and create pathways for their professional growth. Her leadership is marked by a commitment to equity, inclusion, and the belief that every educator deserves to be valued, heard, and supported. With a passion for advocacy and a proven track record of success, Leaundra Clay embodies the spirit of Profound Ladies and is dedicated to making a profound impact on the lives of educators and students alike.
Impact Leader
Angelica Jackson is an inspiring upper elementary school teacher born, raised, and based in Brooklyn, New York. Currently serving as a grade 4 teacher, Angelica is dedicated to fostering a high-quality and enriching educational experience for her students. In her role as an Impact Leader for Profound Ladies, she extends her commitment to supporting fellow educators, empowering them to enhance their teaching practices and effectively meet the needs of their diverse classrooms. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, Angelica actively develops and implements targeted strategies in English Language Arts (ELA) that engage students and promote literacy. She is also adept at creating high-quality and relevant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to the unique learning profiles of her students, ensuring that all learners receive the support they need to thrive. In addition to her instructional expertise, Angelica prioritizes teaching social-emotional skills and strategies, recognizing the importance of emotional intelligence in the classroom. Her use of restorative practices and de-escalation strategies fosters a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, respected, and ready to learn. Through her leadership with Profound Ladies, she advocates for systemic change and actively contributes to a supportive community of educators committed to uplifting BIPOC voices in education.
